Why Jul Loves Lucy.

It was the easiest shoot ever. I mean, how difficult can it be when the subject is Lucy Torres Gomez? Her flawless skin, svelte body, luscious long soft hair and the unparalleled beauty makes her the perfect model for Jul B. Dizon.

It is our 6th year of working together and I see another 20 years more. Perhaps in the near future, my daughters will shoot Julianna Gomez and start their own colorful and gem-filled relationship.

Sara Black doing what she does best.

Jerome Chang knows exactly what Lucy wants.

The outcome of the shoot? Prepare to be AMAZED!

Thank you to Dennis Lustico for the haute couture. Your bloggerina with her present and future muse.

Glossy Exposure, re-post.

METRO SOCIETY

Anton Baretto asked me if I am willing to be featured in Versus, a comparison article between 2 people in Metro Society magazine. I asked whom I am being compared to and was told that it was Ana Rocha. Owner of Rocks by Ana Rocha. She owns a whole lot of other things too but there's too many to mention. Anyway, Ana is a friend of mine and of course, I agreed to be part of it mainly because it is Anton asking.

Anyway, for my millions of fans out there, here's what this VS article says for the the August-September, Luxury Issue, 2008.

To read the interview, you just gotta get your copy! C'mon, don't get cheap on me.

TOWN AND COUNTRY

And for the Town and Country September issue, Gretchen Cojuangco graces the cover. Inside, Rorie Carlos produces a section about jewelry and Jul B. Dizon Jewellery is included.

Re-Post!

It starts out with the materials.

The ROCKS this time were 15 strands of round amethyst beads and 2 carved jade pieces. I decided to make a necklace with an Oriental touch to it but without a lot of details and froo-froo. Just clean and simple lines will be enough to make a statement piece.

On PAPER, my pencil and Chinese food (for inspiration, you know) inspired me to draw this up and I instantly fell in love with it. My client would surely like and look great wearing it.

Coloring the design is very important so that the workers get a better idea of what you want the piece to look like.

It then goes to our goldsmith, stone setter and polisher. The beads go directly to our restringer and the final outcome took my breath away. I am happy. I feel like God. I guess all designers feel this way. Something that you just draw up will come to life. Something in the mind becomes something you can hold and touch and wear.

And on the NECK, this is what it looks like. How fun isn't it?

Thanks to MPdG for stripping in my store just so I can take this photo. BWA HA HA HA!

Turquoise!

I miss posting in this site. I stopped for months because my clients came across another company who seem to be using our pieces as pegs for her design. When I saw photos from that company, I was bothered.

But now I saw...what the heck. I just want to bring joy to my readers and clients thru our creations.

Particularly love this piece that I designed for our Anniversary Collection. The color of the turquoise is striking and the brown diamond wings actually spring as you move around.

Jul Dizon's JEWELBOTS!

Meet Fletcher. He's the cute and funny. He is half robot, half USB and 100% adorable. Made of silver with multi-shaped tourmalines and sapphires.

Boris is a tough guy. He's programmed to be much like Robocop. There's no soft spot in this one. Made of polki pyrite and black sapphires in silver.

Wanda is the girlfriend of Boris. I don't know how she can stand being with Boris. Guess it is because they are both tough. Don't mess with them.

This is PI, he is a secret keeper meaning inside his belly is a USB for your top secret files. Silver plated in gold with citrine head and white topaz body with white sapphires and cabochon tourmalines.

My ultimate favorite is Scott-T. He's most adorable with his checkered citrine face, diamond shaped chalcedony body. His abs and muscles are made of multi-colored sapphires and tourmalines. Check out his lovely pink and green tourmaline legs and feet. With all that wheels, he can take me anywhere!
If you are a party animal, this Jewelbot is for you! Disco Bot has a cabochon citrine head, amethyst body and white topaz feet, this baby knows how to move with moving hinges.
A musician, Huey likes to always keep his headphones on and creates music thru his super hi-tech intestines. He also loves his shoes. No wheels for this guy.

Douglas is all wired up. Too much coffee.

A very well rounded Jewelbot, Theta will surely be the first to get sold.
All designs are by Ginny Dizon. Each piece is handmade down to the tank like feet.
