Robogems!

Ginny, my sister-in-law, whom we also refer to as The Oracle, has won numerous jewelry design competitions, locally and internationally. The Dizon family is so proud of her that we often joke about the fact that she stays in the family and my brother, Cedric leaves, in case of a break up. All their children of course, stays because they are oodles and boodles of joy.

Ginny has all the answers in the world, especially when it comes to problems with our Macs and iPhones and iPods. She can also answer all our questions as to how to cure illnesses from a mere cold to gout. She is a major believer of the Waldorf ways (Rudolf Steiner's way of education). She was able to recruit 5 of her nieces/nephews to become Waldorfians because of how impressed the parents are of how her kids are raised.

My parents love her to bits and I am quite sure that they too would rather keep Ginny than the Dizon sisters because we are good for nothing, spoiled and lazy brats compared to her.

She is a SUPER MAJOR VVIP in Healthy Options because she is all for natural and organic foods and medications. Maybe that's why she is so smart. In a way, having Ginny around is like having a HUMAN GOOGLE.

For her 31st Anniversary Collection, Ginny showcases her ROBOTIC skills by designing super and almost sold out RoboGems. Cute name huh? I thought of that. (hehehe)

Anyway, I guess I did enough sucking up to her maybe now she will help me fix my Flip Video.

Enjoy!

Butterfly

Not only do we love bees, we also adore butterflies which is why looking back at JBDJ's archive, I came upon a hundred different pieces of these brooches that we made throughout the years.

We used different colors of stones, shapes of wings and sizes of the pins that all our clients love.

My Mom loved wearing these brooches because it instantly ads style and class to whatever it is you are wearing.

Here's what I dug up from JBDJ archive. Have to say, I LOVE them all.

Reposting My Puppies.

Are you ready to see my wonderful puppies? To own them and have them on your hands? To look and marvel at how cute they are?

I am ready to show them to you all.

Repost of Bahay Kubo.

We joined the First Design Competion by the Guild of Philippine Jewellers and asked all our workers to participate. I remember this goldsmith of ours. He was extremely nice and pleasant to work with. His name is Florante Pineda. He submitted his design and we were not surprised when we got a notice of his winning. After making his winning piece, we decided to honor him with a line of his design.

A few months later, Florante died of a tricycle accident. Not only did we lose a great goldsmith and designer, we also lost a friend. Here's to you FP!

This is his original design.

BEE Beautiful!

These pins are the cutest things we have ever done in my book. I think we all loved it so much that we made around 45 different colors using assorted precious gems and stones. There were some that were priced at P15,000 to a high of P60,000 depending on the material used.

After a few weeks, we happily announced that it was all SOLD OUT. Thinking of making more for this year. What do you think?

Chuvaness-ing.

Spotted in BFStweetup last night was Chuvaness wearing the JBDJ bangle we made and gifted her. Love the fact that she's enjoying it even though she hardly wears any jewelry!

May I mention that I love her shirt to bits??

Dizon-ified, Part 2.

As you know, I am totally against redoing or redesigning High End Luxury brands such as Patek Philippe, Chopard, Van Cleef and such.

If you remember, our VVVVIP client had us make a diamond strap for her Patek watch a few months ago. We tried to discourage her at first but she knew what she wanted and at the end of the day, we were all very happy with the outcome. Read it here.

http://becausecandysaysso.blogspot.com/2010/01/dizon-ified.html

Now, she gave JBDJ, particularly Ginny, a bigger challenge. Another watch, but a more complicated design. Franck Muller, Color Dreams Collection. A desire for her to wear it in a totally unique way gave us all an opportunity to create something special for the prestigious brand.

This is how she bought the watch.

This is what JBDJ came up with.

The price of the watch alone is already uber teuer (very expensive) but with the additional strap made in white gold and multi-colored sapphires doubles the price of the watch but with to those who have everything that life can offer, why not?
