Vitamin C Overload!

Once upon a time, my sisters and I went to HK to participate in a jewelry show. We came half prepared lugging with us a few decoration for our booth but we decided that we will just find something in HK to beautify the showcases.

Seeing our pieces, we wanted to use something that will bring out the colors of our jewels.

ORANGE. Literally. Oranges are what we ended up using. As the days pass, I would peel these babies up and eat them. I never enjoyed this fruit as much as I did this time. Perhaps the lights of the showcases made them sweeter? Not sure, but one thing I can tell you is that I didn't get a cold for a very long long time.

Enjoy!

Christmas at JBD Shang.

"With the new look of Jul Dizon at EDSA Shangri-la, decorating it for Christmas was a fun thing to do", says Anne who took care of bringing in the Christmas Season into our shop.

Enchanted Christmas at Jul Dizon is what she calls it because the fairies that are scattered all over are not the only thing that will enchant you but also the Christmas Collection that will soon be available to you, our most valued clients.

Pink, Yellow and Light Blue ROCKS!

Whenever I am in Shangri-la, I always tinker with the computer searching for good photos to blog about. Alas, I found a collection that the Dizon's all love. I am sorry to say that all these pieces are already sold.

Also want to say that if you are an owner of any of these pieces, you are totally lucky because it is not easy to find such good quality rough stones.

Kunzite is pink, yellow is citrine and light blue is aquamarine.

Enjoy!

New, One of a Kind, Sold.

I do hope that certain people will try to use these designs as inspiration and not outright copy them. To be copied should be taken as a compliment but we live in a world of creativity where so much raw materials are available, scenery and places to draw inspiration from and school to learn the art of designing. With all this, we should be able to be original. If you are to call yourself a designer, you should be able to DESIGN. Make your own mark in the industry and be acknowledged properly for it. That's what my Mom always told us. I miss her.

Anyway, these are some of the pieces that we recently just finished. There are a lot more but these stand out and I want to share it with you, my readers and clients. Enjoy!

Kunzite Bangle!

A super short story...

A client called me on my mobile. After a few minutes of talking, I put the phone down and started on sketching on what the client wanted. It had to be light, cool colors and easy to wear. Had to have rough kunzite as the main star of the bangle. It was tough and I had to make 3 drawings before I emailed it for approval.

Here's the tricky part, after all the designs I made, my client said, "It's up to you."

I went ahead and discussed the design to our worker. After 4 weeks, it was completed and goodness gracious, I loved it. Crossing my fingers that my client loves it too.

I texted him to tell him that it is done. Yes, folks, HIM. This man is extra-ordinarily sweet to his wife that he opted to have a bangle made specifically for his wife rather than just buying something ready from the store. Sigh....What a sweetheart.

This is what I AVT is now wearing. Happy Anniversary!!!

The Gracious, Grace Ang

I love dressing this beautiful woman up with jewelry. She is an easy model to accessorize and I am always happy with the outcome.

She wears Jul B. Dizon Jewellery with such class that I had to post a blog just showcasing her and her JBDJ collection.

Thank you Grace for your much valued patronage and friendship. Till our next project.
