Fil-Chinese Friendship Day Pendants.

To commemorate the Frienship Day between Filipinos and Chinese, we have created these Simbolo pendants. 

Meet Jia. Her name means beautiful in Chinese. Adorned with rubies, pearls and white sapphires, Jia is set in 18 karat yellow gold and have moving arms, hands, feet and head. 

Ning is wearing a cheongsam with rubies, tsavorite and blue sapphires. Fresh water pearls for her head, bun and hands are all set in 18 karat yellow gold. Ning means tranquility. 

Lian is wearing a traditional Chinese kimono embellished with blue sapphires, amethyst, tsavorite and pearls mounted in 18 karat yellow gold. Her name means graceful willow.

Break It To Make It.

If you ask me, one of the favorite things that I love to do when it comes to my work is reworking old sets of jewelry and make it look new and dated. 

I got this from a client who's young, beautiful and very chic. I think that this design is too old for her so we both decided to make something out of it. 

I didn't want her to spend so much on this piece so what I did was deconstruct the parts instead of taking out the small diamonds from the mounting. 

The whole thing was made out of plenty of leaves with diamonds. I wanted to work with the existing leaves so I had the worker break it apart. 

The design is simple. Just put them all together but make it into dangling earrings.

The pearl can be attached/detached as she pleases. She can also use any other kind of drop. 

The outcome is this pair of earrings.

I am happy. I hope she loves it the way I do.

Earrings of the Year.

 I love these earrings that Lucille designed for a client. The colors are beautiful together. The red orange coral goes very well with the bright green emerald leaves. To mute the strong colors, pearls, white sapphires and diamonds were added. You can also wear them so many different ways. 

Perfection achieved. 

And when you add something perfect to a person such as Lucy Gomez, you just run out of words and sit back and enjoy the beauty at its finest.

From Loose to Set.

Colored stones are my favorite pieces to work with. For a friend, I decided to combine multi-colored aquamarines with her small stones to make this chunky ring. I love the outcome!!! 

I have to say that my brother, CJ, did a good job in interpreting my design. It may be simple but that's exactly how I wanted it.

I designed this for Kris Aquino about 5 months ago and I am so happy to see that she is still enjoying her earrings. It looks great on her!

Precious Pearls.

I know I haven't posted much on this site lately and I still plan to keep it to a minimum but of course, I still want to be able to share with you a few of my favorite things. 

Pearls. It's one of the easiest thing to wear and the most basic jewelry piece to have. 

Start out with a good quality so that it will last until your grandchildren's kids will still be able to enjoy them! 

A simple necklace such as this goes with just about any color of clothes.

The dangling pearls are detachable so that you may wear the top part on its own. 

And change the top part as much as you want. Adding the pearl will give it a little movement on the ear yet keeping the whole thing classy.

Why Jul Loves Lucy.

It was the easiest shoot ever. I mean, how difficult can it be when the subject is Lucy Torres Gomez? Her flawless skin, svelte body, luscious long soft hair and the unparalleled beauty makes her the perfect model for Jul B. Dizon. 

It is our 6th year of working together and I see another 20 years more. Perhaps in the near future, my daughters will shoot Julianna Gomez and start their own colorful and gem-filled relationship.
